A statement from superstar Brett Owen:
Would you take a slushee in the face to be on GLEE? I got really excited when I heard GLEE would be accepting online audition videos in order to cast new roles for season 2 of the show so I rounded up some of my most talented friends and put this video together. I’ve been waiting to upload it but I just found out they’re only accepting videos of people singing songs that have been featured on GLEE, so this won’t work after all.
That being said we put a lot of work into it and I’m really proud of it, so let me know what you think! I think I’d be kind of perfect to play Kurt’s boyfriend on the show…this seems like the opportunity I’ve been waiting for my entire life. But if you disagree that’s fine, I respect your opinion. It was also just announced that the people who created Mamma Mia are making a musical based on the songs of the Spice Girls, so if GLEE doesn’t work out for me, I think I’d be pretty perfect for that too. Though just think about me and Kurt fighting over Finn while singing “The Boy Is Mine.”
Genius, right?!
I don’t own the rights to any of the musical content in the video. The songs featured are: “Mmm Papi,” “I’m A Slave 4 U,” “Me Against The Music,” and “Oops!...I Did It Again,” all by Britney Spears, “The Fame” by Lady Gaga, and “Black And Gold” by Sam Sparro.
Thanks for watching!
